Points to Qualify
Students must earn 90 qualifying choir points before they are eligible to receive a GISD choir award jacket.

Calculate Your Points
Record your qualifying activities by grade level and total your points.
Submit by November 6
Turn in your completed form so your choir director can verify the application.
Get Verified + Sized
Once your qualification is verified, you may be released for the next available campus sizing date.
How You Earn Points.
Your points can come from honor choir auditions, UIL individual events, varsity participation, the campus musical, and select choir membership.

You Apply for Your Own Jacket
Each student is responsible for completing and submitting their own application. Your director verifies the accuracy after you turn it in.
One Award Jacket
UIL rules allow a student to receive only one award jacket from a school district during their high school career.
Already Have a Jacket?
If you have already received an athletic, academic, or other GISD award jacket, qualifying choir students receive a choir patch instead.

The district application includes the complete point chart, grade-by-grade tracking columns, the Statement of Compliance, student signature, and director/administrator verification. We are keeping that official form exactly as provided.
